1. Who is responsible

Eric Sjöberg (sole trader, reg. no. 010624-3975), Stockholm, Sweden, runs Sajtjouren and is the controller for the processing described here.

Send questions about your personal data to hjalp@sajtjouren.com.

2. What we collect

When you send a case through the form, we receive:

  • your name and email address
  • your phone number, if you give it
  • the address of your website
  • what you see on the site and how urgent it is
  • whether you have SSH or control panel access
  • which package you are interested in
  • your message
  • that you accepted the terms, which version and when

During the case we also keep our correspondence with you, notes on the work, time spent and the basis for invoicing.

Your IP address is used when you send the form, to limit the number of submissions and in the spam check. It is used only briefly for spam protection and rate limiting, and is not stored with your request or in the notification email we receive.

3. Why we use the data

  • To handle your case, give you a price and carry out the job. Legal basis: contract, meaning steps taken before entering into a contract and performing it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • For bookkeeping and invoicing. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). The Swedish Bookkeeping Act (bokföringslagen) requires us to keep accounting records for seven years.
  • For security and to stop spam and abuse of the form. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our interest is keeping the service working and free of automated submissions.

4. Who receives the data

We never sell your data. We only share it with providers that help us run the service, and they may only use it to provide their services to us:

  • a provider of hosting, database and email infrastructure
  • a provider of spam protection for the form
  • an accountant or bookkeeping service, if we use one

We also disclose data when required by law or by an authority's decision.

5. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some of our providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Such transfers are then protected by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep the data

  • Case data is deleted or anonymised 12 months after the case is closed.
  • Invoices and other accounting records are kept for seven years under the Swedish Bookkeeping Act.
  • IP addresses used by the spam check and submission limit are only kept briefly.

7. Data on your website

When we clean your website, we may see personal data stored there, such as user accounts, customers or comments. We handle that data as a processor on your behalf, not as a controller. How that works is set out in our terms.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • know what data we hold about you and get a copy
  • have incorrect data corrected
  • have data erased, unless the law requires us to keep it
  • ask us to restrict processing
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • receive data you gave us in a machine-readable format (data portability)

Send your request to hjalp@sajtjouren.com. We reply within one month.

9. Complaints

Please contact us first if you think we handle your data wrongly. You also have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se, which is our lead supervisory authority, or to the data protection authority where you live or work.

10. Cookies

We use no cookies for tracking, statistics or advertising, and no analytics service. The spam protection in the form runs a technical check in your browser that is only used to stop automated submissions.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
